ENThe article presents current status of the Lithuanian language in medical science and concern about its situation. Lithuanian government’s resolutions, which require that all scientific works have to be published in English to gain priority of evaluation and financial support, are threatening the Lithuanian state language and national integrity. All scientific literature and studies inside Lithuania should be carried out in good and beautiful native Lithuanian. The value of scientific publications is not the language and all scientists should have a free choice of the language without obligatory preference. [From the publication]
