Lokalios istorijos tyrimų ypatumai

LTLokali istorija yra kurios nors didesnės teritorijos, pažymėtos žemėlapyje arba plane, aprašymas ir tyrimas. Teritorijos pasirinkimas turi būti pagrįstas ir nurodytas tyrimų pradžioje arba knygos įvade. Teritorijos išskirtinumas ir jos ištirtumo laipsnis skatintų tolesnius ir išsamesnius tyrimus ir formuotų iš dalies naujos kompleksinės mokslo šakos, jungiančios gamtos, kalbos, istorijos, etnologijos ir kitų mokslo tyrimų sritis, kryptis ir tikslus. Iki šiol Lietuvoje išleistus kraštotyrinio pobūdžio leidinius, nors ir vadinamus monografijomis, išskyrus vieną kitą, sudaro aprašomojo pobūdžio straipsniai, nepretenduojantys į apibendrinančius tyrimus. Lokalios vietovės, kaip atskiro vieneto, tyrimai pateiktų naujų duomenų Lietuvos mokslui, paskatintų nuodugniau analizuoti daugelį reiškinių ir įvykių, iki šiol laikytų nereikšmingais. ENRegional history is the description and study of any larger territory marked on the map or plan. The choice of a territory should be justified and indicated at the outset of the study or in the introduction of the book. The territory’s idiosyncrasy and the level of its exploration would promote further more detailed studies and would shape the directions and goals of a partially new integrated science that combines the spheres of research of natural sciences, history, ethnology and other sciences. Publications of regional studies issued in Lithuania to date, despite being referred to as monographs, with the exception of a few ones, include papers of a descriptive nature that are no claim to studies of a generalising character. Studies of a region as an individual unit would provide new information to Lithuanian science and would encourage more detailed analysis of numerous phenomena and events seen as insignificant until now.
