Globalizacijos įtaka specialybės kalbos studijoms: naujos žodžių reikšmės studentų kalboje

LTInformacinių ir komunikacinių technologijų sukelti globalizacijos procesai meta iššūkius visoms politinio, ekonominio bei socialinio tautų gyvenimo sritims. Globalizacijos metu nyksta fizinės, ekonominės, finansinės, teisinės bei kalbinės kliūtys: vis labiau mokomasi užsienio kalbų, įsigali kelios pagrindinės kalbos, kurių mokėjimas leidžia sėkmingai veikti visame pasaulyje. Tai būdinga ir Lietuvai, Europos Sąjungos narei. Straipsnyje, remiantis Dabartinės lietuvių kalbos žodyno (DLKŽ, 2011) duomenimis bei viešąja vartosena, aprašomi keli lietuviški būdvardžiai, kurie dabartinėje viešojoje vartosenoje, be savo įprastinių reikšmių, vartojami ir naujomis reikšmėmis, tikėtina, susiformavusiomis dėl anglų kalbos įtakos, analizuojama, ar semantiškai pagrįsti tam tikri šių būdvardžių vartojimo atvejai, aiškinamasi, koks šių atvejų santykis su kalbos normos reikalavimais, taip pat pristatomi šių būdvardžių vartojimo polinkių studentų kalboje tyrimo rezultatai, pateikiamos išvados bei rekomendacijos, siekiant ugdyti taisyklingus studentų specialybės kalbos įgūdžius. ENThe processes of globalization caused by the development of information and communication technologies pose a challenge to all political, economic and social life areas of the nations; diminishing economic, legal and linguistic barriers, increasing foreign language learning and domineering of several major languages the knowledge of which allows operating successfully throughout the world. After the integration into the European Union, the altered situation of Lithuania has led to the change of life and culture of Lithuanian people. The change of life conditions of the society is inevitably changing the language itself as more loanwords are coming from the English language, or through the English language the Lithuanian and foreign word balance is being changed. The most common word meanings derived from English change the lexical system of the Lithuanian language. In the article, on the basis of the Current Lithuanian Dictionary and public use of the language, 6 Lithuanian adjectives are described which in their current usage and in addition to their common meanings are used as having new meanings that are likely to have formed on the influence of English. The semantic justification of the use of some of these adjectives is analyzed. Also, the proportion of these cases with the requirements of the language norm is clarified together presenting the research on the tendencies of the use of these adjectives in students’ speech. According to the empirical research results, it can be concluded that students most commonly consider the basic meaning illustrating phrases as regular. Phrases having figurative meanings are considered as correct only by slightly more than one third of the respondents. Many semantic translations from English are considered to be incorrect by the respondents.Still, the consideration of some translated phrases as appropriate supports the argument that some of the meanings of words derived from English change the lexical system of the Lithuanian language. Taking into account the results of the investigation, it is necessary to foresee the changes in the content of professional language training, including the topics exploring analytical assessment of new meanings of words rather than word-for-word translation and usage.
