ENInvestigation relevancy. More flexible studies is a solution in aiming to take into account the students’ individual needs and to improve the quality of the studies. Such studies transfer the responsibility for learning and its results to a student, thus a student becomes active in planning and modelling his studies himself. One of our problematic issues is what are the possibilities of the Lithuanian graduate schools students in modelling their studies. Object of the investigation – possibilities of modelling the social sciences studies. Goal of the investigation – to evaluate the possibilities of the Lithuanian graduate schools students in modelling the social sciences studies Tasks of the investigation: 1. To perform the scientific literature analysis reviewing the possibilities of modelling more flexible studies in the Lithuanian graduate schools. 2. To evaluate the students‘ opinion on the possibilities to model the studies at their graduate school (university and college).Investigation methods: the scientific literature analysis; questioning; quantitative analysis of the investigation results. Having performed the scientific literature analysis and summarized the investigation results we can provide the following conclusions: The Lithuanian graduate schools education system still remains structural (more attention is drawn to the order but not to an individual). Possibilities of more flexible studies in the Lithuanian graduate schools are implemented only partially. This depends to a great extent upon the school where a student is studying. The results of the performed investigation revealed that only a part of the respondents have a possibility to model one‘s studies. The respondents who had participated in the investigation admitted that their own initiative and efforts have the most substantial impact on results of their studies. The majority of them admitted that the necessary competence of the lecturers is the most important factor for the efficient studies. It‘s obvious that once the studies are individualized more, the students could study more efficiently and their personal motivation would increase. [From the publication]
