ENThis article analyses Lithuania’s presidency of the Council of the European Union and provides detailed guidelines for a theoretical evaluation of it through the use of a modified contingency management theory. The study recalibrates the assessment of presidencies that can be examined through the relationship between demand and supply, in which an operationalised supply side yields relevant dimensions in the evaluation of a presidency’s effectiveness.
