Promotion of information literacy and social interaction in technology rich learning environment
LTStraipsnyje nagrinėjama informacinių ir komunikacijos technologijų (IKT) įtaka studentų mokymosi patirčiai ir virtualios mokymo aplinkos, kaip sudedamosios tradicinės mokymo aplinkos dalies, teikiamos galimybės. Tyrimas buvo atliekamas eksperimentinio kurso "Informacinio raštingumo gebėjimų integravimas į ESP (English for specific purposes) programą", vykusio Mykolo Romerio universitete, metu. Eksperimentu siekta išvystyti studentų socialinius ir informacinio raštingumo gebėjimus, kurie vertinami kaip priemonė, galinti pagerinti užsienio kalbos kompetencijas. Į ESP integruotas informacinio raštingumo kursas yra skirtas studentų informacinių gebėjimų gerinimui, kurie, kaip tikimasi, tuo pačiu gerins ir jų akademinių studijų atliktį bei efektyvumą. Esminiai aspektai ir straipsnyje pristatomo tyrimo rezultatai yra šie: a) studentų požiūris į programinę įrangą "Moodle mokymosi aplinka"; b) socialinės komunikacijos ir informacinio raštingumo įgūdžiai, išvystyti taikant Moodle programą; c) IKT ir ESP kompetencijų vystymo sąsajos kompleksinėje mokymosi aplinkoje.Reikšminiai žodžiai: Information literacy; Constructivism; Virtual learning environment; Social interaction; Competencies.
ENThe article analyses the influence of the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) on experience of students, and the opportunities provided by virtual learning environment as a supplement to traditional system. The research was performed in a course of the experimental project named “The Integration of the Information Technology Skills into the ESP Programme” conducted at Vytautas Romeris University. The experiment aimed to develop social and information technology skills of students that are considered as measures helping to improve foreign languages competencies. The ESP-integrated course of information technology skills is oriented to the improvement of such information technology skills that, based on the expectations of researchers, will improve the performance and the efficiency of the academic studies on the same time. The main aspects and research results presented in the article are as follows: a) student's attitude towards the software "Moodle Learning Environment; b) social communication and information technology skills developed with a help of the Moodle program; and c) the interrelations of the development of ICT and ESP competencies in a complex learning environment.
