ENProcess of world globalization, integration of Lithuanian education system into the European Union educational space demands from school leaders miscellaneous competences to consider to society needs, which identify pupil, parents and changing physical and economical environment. The new requirements for the system influenced the development of the management competence model. Modern school of basic education needs management specialists of highest qualification, competence, with good knowledge and practical skills who can make influence to processes in their schools. Problem of research was formulated considering the changing processes in public life and the reform of education. These processes request from schools managers change work methods and use the new management knowledge. In this work is represented analysis of theoretical works done by foreign and Lithuanian scientists about school managing styles and influence on educational institution changing. There are presented aspects of school managing development, highlighted main concepts and results of research. The main formulated conclusions about influence on essential factors for educational institution: correct choice of managing styles for planning, managing and control functions and teachers’ activity for good study environment, communication and collaboration with parents.
