ENThe article dedicated to famous twentieth-century Lithuanian public man and politician Kipras Bielinis describes his rich and diverse (as in previous historical periods) activities in exile (in Germany and the United States) after World War II. In 1944, Kipras Bielinis departed from Lithuania to the West and immediately joined the Supreme Committee for the Liberation of Lithuania (VLIK) activities, led its Finance commission which later evolved into the National Foundation and was its manager during the period of 1945–1949. Bielinis contributed to Lithuanian Charter preparation, participated in the development of the organization of the World Lithuanian Community and establishment of the Lithuanian American Community. In 1951, Bielinis became a member and treasurer of the so-called Lithuanian Consultative Panel established in the same year which in 1952 was reorganized to Lithuanian Freedom Committee. At the end of his life Bielinis again returned to the activities of the Supreme Committee for the Liberation of Lithuania and from October 3, 1964 till November 29, 1964 he was its President. A longtime active social democrat figure and one of the party leaders Kipras Bielinis in exile did not forget the social democratic activities. While being a member of the Social Democratic Party abroad he actively participated in its activities and basically remained the second after Steponas Kairys, Lithuanian Social Democratic leader. Bielinis represented the party in Lithuanian emigratory institutions, took part in preparation of various documents and organizational work, contributed to social-democratic press.
