ENThe main point of this article is the estimation and evaluation of the home-organization work practice and the educational values among special education institution educators. There was made a nationwide survey among 76 educators of special education and foster houses. As a method of evaluation, there was applied a questionnaire the statements of which encompassed components of different organization activity fields. The results of the survey established that the wide social role and integrational strategies of the educational institutions are approved by the respondents. There was also expressed a wish for the finance control, greater institutional autonomy, however the management of the organization is not associated with the management of the profit-making organizations. While communicating with the colleagues they stay honest, loyal, are more active in the businesslike than in the scientific practice. Concerning the organization-related values, the educators are very keen on motivating pupils for more active personal ambitions and purposes, for training common competencies, which are seen as an assumption for self-realization. The respondents also disapprove of the strategy of "one-track" training. [From the publication]
