ENThe changeable requirements of society and the requests for education change the requests for modern educational system. The teachers become the moderator between training change and society’s betterment process. There is increasing requirement of competence to primary teachers. Future teachers need new abilities: open, innovatory, progressive thinking, critical thinking, problems decision, conflicts decision, activity, management. The new quality determines and modern attitude to organization. The schoolmasters have to learn to concentrate all members of school’s society for collective activity and to coordinate the changes. The educational management as training process extends the conception of pedagogical activity. Upstars the research, the planning of activity, the prognostication and so on. The teacher is the manager of teaching process, organizator, who consults with schoolchildren when need to accept decisions.The main Lithuanian’s educational tasks shows the fundamental schoolmaster’s and managemental’s comand’s purpose: to rule professional the school, to secure the successful its activity and effective development. The main aim - to examine the attitude of schoolmasters to the teacher as a manager in Prienai region schools. Subject of study - teacher management activity. Tasks of study: research educational, psychological and management literature; research strategic and law documents that regulate activity of educational institutions; describe peculiarity of teachers management activity in educational process; determine abilities that school director take to teacher management competency development; discover teacher competency that determine management activity.
