ENThe aim of the article is to describe the urbanistic heritage of Northern Lithuania in the context of Lithuanian urbanistic heritage from the points of view of scale, dispersion of objects, significance for the formation of significant chronologies, plan characteristic and value to the cultural heritage. It was found that in Northern Lithuania there are 8 valuable objects of urbanistic heritage, i.e. 12 per cent, and in all Lithuania there are 67 objects – that corresponds to the area of both territories and the proportion of towns and small towns, i.e. 23.5 and 23.33 per cent. However, in Northern Lithuania there are no valuable objects of linear plan, and there are 4 objects of radial plan and 4 objects of rectangular plan, i.e. 50 per cent, and in all Lithuania there are 15 per cent, 48 per cent and 24 per cent correspondingly. The objects in Northern Lithuania show the general indicators of the territory objects of plan characteristic. Every valuable object is distinctive and showing urbanistic peculiarities of Northern Lithuania significant on a Lithuanian scale. [From the publication]
