LTLietuvoje dar nesukurtas bendras neformaliojo ir savaiminio mokymosi pasiekimų vertinimo ir pripažinimo universitete modelis, stokojama empirinių tyrimų, nėra ekspertų vertintojų rengimo sistemos universitetams, akademinėms bendruomenėms trūksta informacijos apie šiuo būdu įgytų kompetencijų vertinimo ir pripažinimo universitete ypatumus, daugelis universitetų neturi tokio mokymosi vertinimo patirties. Todėl straipsnyje gvildenamos neformaliojo ir savaiminio mokymosi pasiekimų vertinimo ir pripažinimo galimybės universitete. Atlikta teorinė ir empirinė analizė patvirtino, jog šis procesas universitete vyks sėkmingai, jei bus sukurtas bendras neformaliojo ir savaiminio mokymosi pasiekimų vertinimo ir pripažinimo modelis, jo pagrindu bus kuriamos ir adaptuojamos įvairių specialybių pripažinimo metodikos, bus nuolat tiriami pageidaujančiųjų dalyvauti šiame procese poreikiai ir vykdoma sklaida apie galimybes įsivertinti kompetencijas, įgytas neformaliuoju ir savaiminiu būdu.
