LTStraipsnyje nagrinėjamos kritinio mąstymo dispozicijų, įgūdžių bei intelekto sąsajos. Pristatomas tyrimas, kuriame dalyvavo 140 LEU antro ir trečio kurso studentų. Taikytos tyrimo metodikos: Kalifornijos kritinio mąstymo įgūdžių testas, Kritinio mąstymo dispozicijų aprašas ir Amthauerio intelekto struktūros testas I-S-T 2000 R. Nustatyti reikšmingi ryšiai: bendrų kritinio mąstymo įgūdžių bei dispozicijos; vizualinio intelekto ir bendros kritinio mąstymo dispozicijos; bendro kritinio mąstymo įgūdžių ir verbalinių, vizualinių bei bendrųjų intelekto gebėjimų. ENThe abilities to think logically, to make reasonable decisions are necessary conditions for the developing of a mature, responsible personality. It is not enough to know facts. However recent studies have shown that students do not have the necessary thinking skills and critical thinking motivation. Research shows that even high intelligence is not a sufficient condition for the developing critical thinking skills. The aim of this article is to determine the relationship between students‘ critical thinking dispositions, skills, and intelligence abilities. One hundred and forty students from LEU were tested with the California Critical Thinking Skills test, California Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory and the I-S-T 2000 R. The conception of critical thinking was presented: critical thinking was defined as a cognitive process, a purposeful, self-regulatory judgement that has two components: cognitive skills and motivational component. The author analyses the relationship between critical thinking and intelligence. The psychometric characteristics of the tests were established. The findings of this study was follows: analysis of results showed, that the Cronbach alpha of The California Critical Thinking Dispositions Inventory was 0.83, the confirmatory factor analysis partially confirmed the test seven factors structure. The Cronbach alpha of the California Critical Thinking test was 0.7, but Cronbach alpha of some scales were lower. The confirmatory factor analysis of California Critical Thinking Skills Test confirmed the two and three factors structure. The assessment of students‘ critical thinking dispositions and skills showed that there was a positive correlation between the overall critical thinking skills score and overall critical thinking dispositions score. It also has found positive correlations between the critical thinking dispositions and visual abilities.More statistically significant relations were found among the students’ critical thinking skills and intellectual abilities. Critical thinking dispositions correlated with verbal and visual intelligence abilities. [From the publication]
