ENThe article discusses Latvian lexicographic material of the 17th century. The author presents a wider analysis of the words with references and abbreviations such as Lith, Littauisch, Litthu., Litaw., Litv., litv., die Littawer heissen, which also indicate the origin of the word. The conclusions are drawn that the words: 1. dūšia, mets, pele, svinēt, šķelt are old inherited words known both to Latvians and Lithuanians; 2. klanīt, klanīties, kūces are loan words from Slavonic languages; 3. mente is a loan word from the Lithuanian language. These words were presented as lithuanianisms in the dictionaries of the 17th century. [From the publication]
