ENThe article tells the story of Jan and Ana, children of Chamberlain Duke Bogdan Oginski's (1580-1625) sister Ana Ogińska. Husband of Ona Deltuviškytė (Polish: Ana Dziewaltowska), Krzystof Czajewski, future military officer (Latin: tribūnus, Polish wojski) in Kaunas district, was the grandson of the first land judge in Kaunas Mykolas Kulvietis (Polish: Michał Kulwiec). At the same time the first wife of future Standard-bearer (Latin: vexillifer, Polish: chorąży) of Kaunas Jonas Deltuviškis was Ona Vaitiekaitė Bilevičiūtė, daughter of Elder of Šeduva Vaitiekus Bilevičius. This way the destiny of several prominent families of the land were intertwined. At the juncture of i6th - 17th centuries four influential families of the nobility of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania became linked: the Kulvietis-Deltuviškis-Oginskis-Czajewskis. At the time when the male line of the Oginskis becomes part of the elite of the land, the Polish family of Czajewskis successfully adapts on the level of the regional elite of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. In this network and the familial ties we can also notice links to other influential families of the country. [From the publication]
