LTStraipsnyje pateikiami Dievo tarno arkivyskupo Mečislovo Reinio (1884 02 03 - 1907 06 10 - 1926 04 05 - 1953 11 08l) pagrindiniai biografijos bruožai (pastoracinė, pedagoginė, mokslinė, visuomeninė, politinė veikla). Išskirtinis dėmesys straipsnyje skiriamas Dievo tarno M. Reinio tyrinėjimams nepriklausomybę atgavusioje Lietuvoje, publikuotiems tęstiniuose ir teminiuose mokslo darbuose, mokslinių straipsnių rinkiniuose, monografijose, Lietuvos istorijos šaltinių publikacijose, enciklopedijose bei enciklopedinio pobūdžio leidiniuose, knygose, įskaitant ir knygas, skirtas M. Reinio asmenybei nušviesti. Be to, supažindinama su mokslininkų, tyrinėjusių Dievo tarno M. Reinio gyvenimą ir veiklą, darbų tematika. Atkreipiamas dėmesys į M. ENServant of God, Archbishop Mečislovas Reinys (3 February 1884 - 10 June 1907 - 5 April 1926 - 8 November 1953) was one of the most outstanding personalities of the first half of the 20,h century in Lithuania who made a substantial contribution to the establishment of the positions of the state, the prosperity of science and culture, the strengthening of the spirituality of the nation, the formation of its Catholic worldviews and the development of Catholic values. Gifted with good memory and sensitive soul by God and taught hard work, duty and responsibility, he developed these character qualities throughout his life. By his ideas and public activities the Servant of God, Archbishop Mečislovas Reinys surpassed a number of global historical changes by foreseeing the possibility of consolidation of nations, states, cultures and religions 50 years before cardinal transformations in public life. Therefore, it is not by accident that this public figure is of interest to researchers: articles and reports in conferences, symposiums in Lithuania and abroad bring fame to the name of Mečislovas Reinys. Based on the works dedicated to Reinys in scholarly publications, the article reviews the fields of activity of Archbishop Reinys and presents the statistics of the studies dedicated to him. 9 groups of publications were singled out: serial scientific publications, thematic publications and collections of scientific articles, collective monographs addressing spirituality problems, sources of Lithuanian history, encyclopaedias and the publications of encyclopaedic type, monographs and books where articles dedicated to Reinys were printed, books on the personality of Mečislovas Reinys, material and abstracts of reports, journals where extensive articles were printed. It is noted that the personality of the Servant of God Mečislovas Reinys was also introduced to Ukrainian researchers.Several articles were published in the research works History of Religions in Ukraine (2007, 2010, 2011) published by Lviv Museum of Religious History: links with Ukrainian Greek Catholic Archbishop Volodymyr Sterniuk, Blessed Archimandrite Klymentiy Sheptytskyi, M.S.U as well as the work accomplished in Vladimir-on-Klyazma to commemorate the name of Mečislovas Reinys are revealed. What is more, the article on Reinys written in the Lithuanian language was published in the first journal of Lviv Museum of Religious History “News of Lviv Museum of Religious History” (“Вкник Льв1вського музею icropil peniri'i”) in 2007. The article “Archbishop Mečislovas Reinys: Historiographic Aspect” analyses each of the aforementioned groups of publications in detail. It provides the statistical review of the researchers of Reinys’ life and activities: 84 scientific articles (several collective) written by 34 researchers; of them, 54 were written by 9 women and 30 - by 25 men. The topics of the research papers on Reinys were reviewed and the activities of him as the patriarch of the Lithuanian school in the Independent Lithuania were revealed; contemporary researchers working on this field of Reinys’ work were singled out. Mečislovas Reinys is presented as a personality of multiple interests. The article is the first introduction to the studies on Mečislovas Reinys, historiography from the perspective of statistics. It brings forward Mečislovas Reinys as a spiritual personality, skilful scientist, educator, politician and public figure as well as a patron of sensitive soul. The bibliographic index and table of research studies provided for the first time in the article show the attempts made by researchers to reveal the personality of Mečislovas Reinys in the broadest possible way, thus contributing to the faster beatification of this servant of God.
