LTStraipsnyje tiriami kultūrinės atminties ir komunikacinės atminties diskursai kaip Mariaus Katiliškio kūrybos intertekstai, remiantis Jano Assmanno ir Maurice’o Halbwachso kolektyvinės atminties koncepcijomis, Renate’os Lachmann intertekstualumo samprata. Nagrinėjami pagrindiniai Katiliškio kūriniai, rašyti nuo 1931 m. iki 1975 m. imtinai. Žagarės miesto gyventojo kolektyvinės atminties diskursas yra pagrindinis ankstyvosios poetinės kūrybos intertekstas. Novelių ir apsakymų rinkiniuose intertekstiškai dominuoja komunikacinės atminties diskursas, kurį istoriniai įvykiai vėliau pavertė istorinės atminties diskursu. Katiliškio sukurti romanai analizuojami kolektyvinės, individualios ir asmeninės tapatybės aspektais. Tyrimas atskleidžia, kad kultūrinės atminties diskursas Katiliškio kūryboje yra intertekstas, aktualizuojantis ne tik kultūros atmintį, bet ir istorijos diskursą. Komunikacinės atminties diskursas meniniuose tekstuose yra autoriaus biografijos intertekstas. Minėtos atmintys literatūros kūriniuose yra intertekstai, konstruojantys atminties diskursą. ENThe paper explores the discourse of memory in Marius Katiliškis’s poems, short stories and novels. The main aim of the paper is to research the discourses of cultural memory and communicative memory as intertexts of Katiliškis’s creative work. The objectives of the research: (1) to analyse the discourse of cultural memory in Katiliškis’s creative work, identifying its nature, peculiarities, and relationship with other texts; (2) to explore the discourse of communicative memory and its correlation with the author’s biography and social memory; (3) to ascertain how the discourse of historical memory correlates with the discourse of individual memory; (4) to discuss how the discourse of memory is constructed in Katiliškis’s texts. The methodology of the article is constructed on the ground of Jann Assmann’s conception of cultural / communicative memory presented in his study Cultural Memory and Early Civilization: Writing, Remembrance, and Political Imagination (2011), Maurice Halbwachs’s notions of collective memory, individual memory, and historical memory described in his classic works The Collective Memory (1980), On Collective Memory (1992), and Renate Lachmann’s concept of intertextuality formulated in her article “Mnemonic and Intertextual Aspects of Literature” (2010). Katiliškis’s works, which were written between 1931 and 1975, are analysed in the paper. The discourse of collective (cultural) memory of a resident of the town of Žagarė is the main intertext of the earliest poetical oeuvre Mano žodžiai: ankstyvoji kūryba (eilėraščiai) (My Words: Early Works (Poetry), 2004). The discourse of communicative memory as an intertext plays a significant role in the collection of short stories Prasilenkimo valanda (The Hour of Passing, 1948) which puts the focus not on the artistic level, but on the personal and collective experiences.In his first book Seno kareivio sugrįžimas (The Return of the Old Soldier, published in 2003, prepared for printing in 1944) the discourse of cultural memory dominates and the depiction of the human inner world actualises it. The reflection of collective, individual and personal identity is expressed in Katiliškis’s three novels: Miškais ateina ruduo (Autumn Comes through the Woods, 1957), Išėjusiems negrįžti (Gone, Never to Return, 1958), Pirmadienis Emerald gatvėje (Monday in Emerald Street, 1993). The author created the discourse of communicative memory which was later transformed into the discourse of historical memory by the impact of history and time in his last books: Šventadienis už miesto (A Holiday out of Town, 1963), Apsakymai (Short Stories, 1975). The paper ends with the conclusion that the discourse of cultural memory in Marius Katiliškis’s creative work is the intertext which actualises not only the memory of culture, but a discourse of history. The discourse of communicative memory is the intertext both of the author’s biography and social memory. The investigation revealed that intertextuality allows us to envisage a correlation between various texts, practices, statements and events. The mentioned memories are intertexts which construct the discourse of memory. The research revealed that literature and discourse of memory always initiate an interdisciplinary, polysemous, and continuing dialogue. [From the publication]
