LTStraipsnyje nagrinėjami Lietuvos Respublikos Konstitucinio Teismo jurisprudencijoje atskleisti įvairūs Respublikos Prezidento teisinio statuso aspektai. Pagal 1992 m. Lietuvos Respublikos Konstituciją Respublikos Prezidentas yra valstybės vadovas, jis atstovauja Lietuvos valstybei ir daro visa, kas jam pavesta Konstitucijos ir įstatymų. Respublikos Prezidento vieta ir reikšmė valstybės institucijų sistemoje sietina su Konstitucijoje įtvirtinta valstybės valdymo forma. Pagal konstitucinę jurisprudenciją tai parlamentinės respublikos modelis, turintis kai kurių pusiauprezidentinio modelio elementų. Į tai būtina atsižvelgti aiškinant Respublikos Prezidento įgaliojimus santykiuos su vyriausybe, parlamentu, kitomis valdžios institucijomis. Analizuojant Prezidento statusą, būtina atsižvelgti į tai, kad teisinės sąvokos "atstovauti valstybei" ir "atstovauti tautai" netapačios, jų skirtingas turinys. Straipsnyje nagrinėjamos įvairios Konstitucinio Teismo nagrinėtos bylos, kuriose atskleistas Respublikos Prezidento statuso individualumas, jo pavadavimas, dalyvavimas įstatymų leidyboje ir kt. ENThe article analyses various aspects of the legal status of the President of the Republic of Lithuania disclosed in a jurisprudence of the Constitutional Court. Base on the Constitution of the Republic of Lithuania of 1992, the President is a head of the state; he/she represents the state of Lithuania and performs all duties delegated to him/her by the Constitution and the Law of the Republic of Lithuania. The place and the importance of the President among the other state institutions depend on a form of government. According to the constitutional jurisprudence, Lithuania is a parliament republic with some elements of a semi-presidential model. This is important to notice when explaining the authorities of the President in relation to the government, parliament, and other state institutions. Analysing the status of the President, it is important to state that legal concepts "to represent a state" and "to represent nation" are not coincident – they implicate different content. The article analyses various cases, investigated by the Constitutional Court, that disclose particularities of the status of the President of the Republic of Lithuania: his/her substitution, participation in the legislation, and others. In addition, the article analyses the constitutional impeachment to the President.
