ENThe majority of those who took part in the research consisted of children with severe degree of autism. The parent survey showed that the main autistic symptoms that cause the greatest difficulties are the child's speech and behavioural disorders. The parents' attitude towards an autistic child depends on the child's state, mother's occupation, understanding the child's behaviour. Child observation during the lessons applying a structured method showed positive dynamics of the child's state and behaviour. The parents of all children considered the applied method of structured teaching positive. The parents of children with minor, moderate and severe degree of autism apply the method at home: they adapt the environment, develop communication skills individually. The parents of children with many-sided development disorder do not apply structured teaching at home due to psychological reasons in the family, peculiarities of the child's state and minor disorders of social adaptation. The parents of children with severe degree of autism rarely apply visual schedules due to psychological problems in the family and everyday tasks. The greatest problems to the parents raising children with minor and moderate degree of autism that cause trouble in applying structured teaching at home are lack of knowledge and the absence of task continuity between the family and the educational institution.
