Aukštaičių kalendoriniai papročiai

LTStraipsnio tikslas - įvardyti aukštaitišką šventę, besiskiriančią nuo švenčiamų kitur Lietuvoje ir galinčią tapti oficialia, suburiančia visus kraštiečius Aukštaitijos etnografinio regiono švente. Straipsnio autoriaus nuomone, pagal paplitimo arealą ir kaip atsvara žemaitiškosioms Užgavėnių persirengėlių vaikštynėms tokia šventė galėtų būti Kalėdų čigonautojų paprotys. Tačiau pastaruoju metu jis yra išlikęs tik keliose autoriaus tirtose vietovėse, o ir čia jį užgožia Užgavėnių vaikštynės. Apžvelgęs XIX a. pabaigos - 2004 m. Lietuvos kalendorinius papročius, autorius teigia, kad Aukštaitijoje išsiskiria jaunimo ir kitų amžiaus tarpsnių atstovų Sekminių kolektyvinių papročių kompleksas: Aukštaitijos šiaurės vakarų dalyje paplitę sambariai, regiono pietryčiuose - Kupolės šventė, Rytų Aukštaitijoje vyraujantys, kituose regionuose beveik nunykę Sekminių sambūriai parugėje ir beveik vien Aukštaitijoje žinomas Sekminių kiaušinienės (pautienės) kepimas. Sekminių kiaušinienės kepimas Rokiškio rajono ribose sudaro kompaktišką arealą iki šių dienų. Apeigą atlieka jaunimas. Nors gana smarkiai pakitęs, Sekminių kiaušinienės paprotys yra unikalus Aukštaitijos etninės kultūros bruožas. Prieinama prie išvados, kad Sekminių papročių arealinė analizė leidžia rekomenduoti paskelbti šią šventę Aukštaitijos etnografinio regiono švente. Suderinus Sekminių sambarių, kupolių, kiaušinienės kepimo, gal ir parugės papročių elementus, autoriaus nuomone, į aukštaičių kaimus ir miestelius būtų galima sutraukti po pasaulį pasklidusius kraštiečius ir stiprinti Aukštaitijos jaunimo regioninį tapatumą.Reikšminiai žodžiai: Kalendorinės vasaros šventės; Kalendoriniai papročiai; Sekminės; Kupolės; Aukštaičiai; Summer's Calendar Fests; Calendar Customs; Withsun; Day of St.John; Highlanders.

ENThe aim of the article is to identify a holiday of the Upper Lithuanians, different from other Lithuanian holidays and able to become an official holiday of the ethnographic region of the Upper Lithuania, attracting all the fellow country people. In the author’s opinion, such holiday, which, according to the area of spread, equals to the Samogitian Mardi Gras processions, would be the Christmas tradition of gypsy disguising. However, at present it still exists only in several locations, where it still shaded by Mardi Gras processions. Upon reviewing Lithuanian calendar traditions from the end of the 19th century till 2004, the author states that a complex of collective traditions of Pentecost, kept by the youth and people of other age groups distinguishes in the Upper Lithuania: in the Northwestern part of the region “Sambariai” are spread, in the Southeastern part “Kupolės” holiday is prevalent, the Pentecost festivities are still popular in the Eastern Upper Lithuania and almost forgotten in other regions and frying of the Pentecoast eggs, known almost exclusively in Upper Lithuania forms a compact area within the limits of Rokiškis District till the present day. The ritual is performed by young people. Although it has changed significantly, the tradition of Pentecoast frying eggs is a unique trait of the ethnic culture of the Upper Lithuania. The conclusion is made that the area analysis of Pentecoast traditions allows for recommending announcing of the holiday the holiday of the ethnographic region of the Upper Lithuania. In the author’s opinion, upon coordinating the elements of Pentecoast Sambariai, Kupolės, frying eggs and Parugė traditions, the fellow country people, spread around the world could be attracted to Upper Lithuanian towns and villages and thus, the regional identity of Upper Lithuanian could be strengthened.
