ENIn this article neutralisation methodology of Bolshevik agitation in Lithuanian army during the years of 1920–1926 is analysed. In this period illegal communist underground which was found and highly financed by Soviet Russia was actively pursuing destructive activity among poor society members of Lithuania and soldiers, wanting to raise pro-soviet revolution in young country, which would be strengthened by invasion of Red army. Such putsch was supposed to be at the end of summer in 1920, but because of unfavourable circumstances it was impossible to perform it. Leadership of safety structure and army of the Republic of Lithuania made a lot of effort to prevent such threats like communist putsch of 1924 in Estonia. Plans were prepared for certain moves to suppress the mutiny, methodologies were formed to observe moods of the soldiers, identify potential communist sidekicks, secret regalement were established which planned to send national minorities that were considered to be unreliable, especially Jewish conscripts to accomplish their active service in companies situated away from capital, highly restricting the possibilities of Jewish soldiers working in offices of military units, sectors of economy. From the beginning of the third decade there was a lot of attention paid to patriotic upbringing of soldiers and political education in Lithuanian army. For this purpose appropriate lectures and leisure events were organised, many patriotic and anti-Bolshevik content material was published in military and public press. In these newspapers and special publications, critic of Soviet Russia and communism was based on main fears of statistical Lithuanian – small and middle farmer: fear to lose his land and property, to end up in oppression of brutal, marauding, godless authority of foreigner, revolutionary chaos.Especially emphasized were corruptibility of Communist Party of Lithuania, demagogic nature of Bolshevik agitation, consequences of politics based on lies in Russia itself as well as other land. It was encouraged to trust Lithuanian army, independence was considered to be the only appropriate way that will open the perspectives of cherishing traditional national-moral values and social harmony.
