ENThe article analyses school disadaptation characteristics and children’s from divorced families self-esteem in primary school. 28 children from the 3rd - 4th classes (9-10 years old) were researched. They were grouped into the experimental (children from divorced families) and the control (children from full families) group. The results of the research proved the fact that children from divorced families fell into a “low” and “medium” level of school adaptation. Incapacity to work for a long time, depressive moods, distrust of new situations and people, feelings of concern dealing with adults and children were the basic syndromes of school disadaptation of the experimental group. Boys had more adaptation problems than girls after their parents’ divorce. Children from the experimental group from such aspects as friendship, kindness, strength considered themselveshigher than those from the control group. [From the publication]
