Summary / Abstract:

LTStraipsnyje nagrinėjama Glitiškių dvaro rūmų raida, dvaro sodybos kūrimosi ir nykimo istorija. Ilgamečiai vietovės savininkai Jelenskiaiprie dvaro besikuriančiame miestelyje fundavo sakralinius objektus (vienuolynus, kalvarijas). Rašytinuose šaltiniuose apie šiuos pastatus žinių pateikta mažai, jas papildytų archeologiniai kasinėjimai. Straipsnio tikslas - aktualizuoti kadaise svarbios Glitiškių vietovės praeitį, papildyti iki šiol tik enciklopedijose randamas trumpas žinutes apie Glitiškių dvaro žemes, sodybą, miestelį, jame veikusį dominikonų ir kitus vienuolynus, prisiminti vietovės savininkus. ENGlitiškės Manor was first referred to in the end of the 15th century. During the 16—17th century period Glitiškės was a property of the reformate Merkelis Petkevičius. In the town, located near the manor, the Evangelical Reformed Church was built. Later, the town established functioning monasteries and calvaries. From the middle of the 18й1 century until the nationalization in 1940 Glitiškės was a property of the Jelenskiai. The manor was wooden until the middle of the 19lh century. The attention was drawn towards the household buildings. The two-storey brick barn and storehouse buildings, built in the second half of the 18th century, remain to this day. Another two-storey barn-storehouse building collapsed in the second half of the 20th century. Based on the correspondence between Jelenskiai and Augustinas Kosakauskas, it is considered that the manor homestead was designed by the mentioned architect in the end of the 18th century. The remaining 18th century manor land plan provides no data about the manor buildings and the homestead design. The highway Vilnius-Molėtai and the Glitiškės Manor Homestead were connected by the one-kilometer populus alley. The alley ended in the rectangular manor yard with two lawns. There was nothing else in the yard. In between the two lawns was the path that connected the manor garden and the other household buildings. Two-storey manor, which has different height wings in the West side, is a rectangular shape. Basements were built under the manor wings and the lower terrace in the first floor. The wing is a two-storey in the Southwest side and one-storey in the Northwest side. In the centre of the main facade the avant-corps is emphasized by the pilaster strips ending with the tower imitations. The joining attic in the semicircular gap was decorated with the shield bearing the Jelenskiai (Korczak) and the Horvatai (.Pobóg) coat of arms (dogs looking to opposite directions). The manor architecture bears the features of romanticism and neo-gothic, which were characteristic to the historicism period in Lithuania. During the Soviet period the West manor facade was disfigured, and the premise plan was altered. [From the publication]
