ENA glimpse into the collections of documents and iconography of the Tyszkiewicz family held in Lithuanian museums, libraries and archives, as well as various printed sources, allows us to assert that the iconography of Count Eustachy Tyszkiewicz is not abundant, but quite varied in the artistic respect. Not only local, but also foreign artists, printmakers and lithographers created portraits of the famous scholar. Their works were reproduced in well-known lithographic workshops of Paris and Warsaw, and published in illustrated weeklies in Warsaw. Famed photographers of Vilnius and Poland captured Tyszkiewicz's image in their studios. To this day, seven different portrait photographs of Tyszkiewicz (one of them is a reproduction of a lithograph), a couple of portrait sketches and their lithographs have been found in Lithuanian depositories. It is obvious that in the scarce iconography of Tyszkiewicz, works by Vilnius-based artists are distinguished by their originality and artistic individuality: a portrait of Tyszkiewicz painted by the artist Aleksander Wtadyslaw Strauss (1834-1896), his bust created by the sculptor Kazimierz Jelski (1782-1867), and a medallion with an image of Tyszkiewicz created by the sculptor and painter Rafal Šlizien (1804-1881). The first medallion was made from gypsum in 1850. Five years later (in 1855) three copies of the medallion were cast from bronze in Minters factory in Warsaw. One-sided tokens were produced after Tyszkiewicz's portrait created by Šlizien in the St. Petersburg mint.Their author is the Vilnius-born medal artist Avenir Griliches (1822-1905). Tyszkiewicz was fond of giving these tokens as gifts to the members of the Vilnius Temporary Archaeological Commission. Another new token was minted in 1877, already after Tyszkiewicz's death. All the above-mentioned works of art and photographs representing Tyszkiewicz were created from 1825 to 1887. In the late 20th century the iconography of the famous museologist was supplemented by a bookplate (1989) by the artist Valentinas Ajauskas (b. 1948), and a medal "In Honour of the Founder of the Museum of Antiquities Eustachy Tyszkiewicz" by the artist Ona Drūlienė (b. 1951) created in 1991.
