ENIn Lithuania the most attention is paid to the territories of the biggest tourism potential – to the national and regional parks of Lithuania. Therefore it is especially relevant and important to investigate tourism and recreational potential of national and regional parks and opportunities of its development for promotion of many tourism kinds. In the article recreational potential, potential of recreational attainability and peculiarities of the alternation of tourists' number in Biržai regional park, which were determined by the recreational potential of the regional park, are nominated and evaluated, the most important areas of influence of the recreational potential, that influence development of cognitive and educational tourism in Biržai regional park and form centres of their expansion, are distinguished.
