ENIn the present paper, the activity of Eustachy Tyszkiewicz and his cooperation with the Moscow Imperial Archaeological Society (Императорское Московское археологическое общество, 1864-1923; hereinafter referred to as the Moscow Archaeological Society) is analysed. In his letter read during a session of the Moscow Archaeological Society on 5 February 1865, Tyszkiewicz thanked the society for having accepted him as a member. The society was also informed about the agreement of the Vilnius Temporary Archaeological Commission to exchange publications, and about the sending of the first seven publications. Later Tyszkiewicz gave to the society his publications Einige Worte zur Erklärung der im Mitau'schen Museum aufbewahrten alterthümlichen Siegelstempel ("Several Words About the Ancient Seal Held in the Mitau Museum", Riga, 1870), Birże. Rzut oka na przeszłość miasta, zamku i ordynacyi ("Biržai. A Glimpse into the Past of the Town, the Castle and the Majorat", St. Petersburg, 1869), and several smaller articles. The interest in Tyszkiewicz's activity did not fade in the early 20th century. It was testified by the famous Russian researcher Pavel Rykov (Павел Сергеевич Рыков, 1884-1942) in his article Кольчуга Виленского Музея ("Chain Mails of the Vilnius Museum"), which was published in the collection Древности: труды Императорского Московского археологического общества ("Antiquities: The Proceedings of the Moscow Imperial Archaeological Society", Moscow, 1916).
