ENOn the 16th of December 2014 - the 31st of May 2015, exhibition ‘The Studio of Vladislovas Neveravičius’ dedicated to 19th c. famous artist, representative of Vilnius Art School Vladislovas Neveravičius was housed in Vilnius Picture Gallery (the branch of Lithuanian Art Museum). It was commemorated his 200 birth anniversary. The publication gives a brief overview on biography of V. Neveravičiaus, discusses his creative features. Creative heritage of artist is scattered all around the world. This is mainly portraits, portrait miniatures, religious paintings, genre compositions, book illustrations, watercolours, etc. 18 artist’s paintings and lithograph by one of his paintings are stored in LAM. Except these art works, exhibition consisted of exhibits from the collections of the Wróblewski Library of the Lithuanian Academy of Science and Lithuanian Expatriate Art Foundation. Most of the exhibits consisted of portraits, painted in Paris, Vienna, Algeria where he travelled for some time. The other part - religious, genre compositions, copies of famous artists’ works. Exhibition was supplemented by famous illustrations of V. Neberavičius created for the poems ‘Konrad von Wallenrode’, ‘Gražina’ and the memories album with Neveravičius’ watercolour of artist sister Sydalia Niewiarowicz from the Wróblewski Library of the Lithuanian Academy of Science. On the 25th of March 2015, cultural evening commemorating 200 birth anniversary of Neveravičius was held in Vilnius Picture Gallery. [From the publication]
