ENContemporary didactics, psychological theories of learning motivation, data on empirical research provide a teacher with lots of scientific information on sources of learning motives, an active human nature. A teacher who has a real calling for this profession is capable of creatively using this information without subduing motivation of pupils. According to Ona Tijūnėlienė, authoress of the article “Sources of fifth-formers' motives of learning” factors of fifth-formers' motives of learning are significant from a value viewpoint; children in their learning process seek to get prepared for success in life - to acquire a desirable and socially valuable profession, find a favourite work, serve other people, become well-educated personalities, revealing their natural powers. With a lack of experience, encouragement and recommendations to learn given by parents and teachers are accepted naturally. Learning is a particularly hard and complicated psychical process. Fatigue and hard strain (lots of homework) difficulties with adaptation in a physical environment – all this turns out into a child’s soul call which has to be respondent. The belated reaction has no positive effect on children’s relations with values of science.
