EN[...] This book summarises the results of the following surveys performed by the Institute of Labour and Social Research in 2004 on the problems of labour market vocational training in 2003: “Research on Social and Economic Efficiency of Labour Market Vocational Training” and “Measurement of the Benefit of Training of Convicts”. The first chapter of the publication analyses the scope and the structure of vocational training in 2003: training of LLMTA is being analysed with reference to the programmes allowing to work, considering the number of trained persons and their structure according to social groups as well as cost peculiarities of this level of training. It also studies the specialities of vocational training within the programmes granting qualification, analyses the scope and the structure of training according to informal training programmes. The second chapter of the publication analyses general characteristics of the LLMTA graduates who finished labour market vocational training in 2003 (by residence, sex, age, education, previously acquired profession, work experience) as well as similar general characteristics of the graduates - the longterm unemployed persons who participated in special programmes. It also studies the peculiarities of labour market situation of the graduates, their employment and income changes, evaluates economic efficiency of labour market vocational training, overviews the importance of social goals within vocational training as well as the influence of training programmes (policies) on the labour market situation of the graduates, analyses the results and efficiency of vocational training for convicts. The third chapter of the publication analyses the possibilities of harmonising economic needs with labour market vocational training, and discusses the outline of National Qualifications System as one of the essential trends for the development of vocational training system.
