ENThe article presents the names of noblewomen from Grodno district that provided horses for the army of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. The document was created in 1567. It turned out that the names of almost all women were Christian and they were written either in a canonical or folk form of Western or Eastern Europe (Catholic or Orthodox). There were two types of naming: names consisting only of anthroponyms of the family members or the mixed names. In terms of structure, there are names, andronames, father’s names, husband’s names and anthroponyms with particle -sk-. Over half of the women’s names were written together with common words explaining anthroponyms. They indicate marital status, kinship, descent and position. The presented female names contain from one to four anthroponyms. [From the publication]
