ENThe paper sets out to examine the morpho-syntactic marking of the noun used as a predicative in Konstantinas Sirvydas’ book of sermons "Punktai sakymų". In the 17th century the noun used as a predicative was marked by the case (Nominative, Accusative) which agreed with the subject or the case (Instrumental) which did not agree with the subject. A similar marking was characteristic of Polish at that time. The comparative method helped identify that the marking of the noun predicative (primary or secondary) in the Lithuanian and Polish texts of Punktai sakymų does not demonstrate a considerable difference. Therefore, from the morpho-syntactic point of view the impact of Polish on Lithuanian at that time was unlikely. [From the publication]
