ENThis article examines the footwear complex from the Southern block western wing of the Vilnius Lower castle. It was one of the palace’s latrines. The biggest part of the leather finds are of the first half of the 16й1 century. Seven-hundred eighty-two shoes details have been found. All these details belong to 148 single shoes. Four different models of low-cut shoes were identified, one model of ankle shoes and one model of high shoes. [...] These finds are very important information to reconstruct of a full costume of the first half of the 16th century. Archaeologists and restorers reveal a tiny part of a colorful court life.
