Summary / Abstract:

XX a. pab. Lietuvoje įkurtų šeimynų pagrindinis bruožas - vaikų globa šeimos aplinkoje. Ši aplinkybė - šeimos aplinka - turėtų orientuoti ir į pagrindinius ugdymo, psichologinio klimato kūrimo, kartu ir katalikiško dvasingumo puoselėjimo principus. Tačiau tam tikri struktūriniai šeimynos elementai įpareigoja atidžiau pažvelgti į minėtus klausimus, kruopščiai juos išanalizuoti ir pateikti išsamų katalikiško dvasingumo raiškos šeimynoje vertinimų, kuris leistų pristatyti katalikiško auklėjimo šeimynoje teorinį hipotetinį modelį ir išryškinti tikėjimo reikšmę netektį patyrusių vaikų auklėjime. ENWe believe that catholic education plays an important role in youth life, especially those who have experienced the loss of their parents, family or home. So the task of this article would be to discuss Catholic spirituality and its expression in a foster family. It is necessary to disclose all features of a foster family in order to give a comprehensive evaluation of the expression of Catholic spirituality in it. This evaluation gives us a possibility to present a theoretical hypothetical model of Catholic education specific to a foster family and to highlight the meaning of faith in the education of those children who have experienced a loss. Our faith, which is accompanied by expression in the family, becomes a stimulus of religiosity and a tool of Catholic education. Those tools arc: visual environment; prayers and other pious actions; the sacraments of initiation; celebration of Sunday and other feast days as well as preparation for them; pilgrimages. All of them spread spiritual culture, form family identity, encourage close relationship with God, and encourage developing the experience of faith into the renewal of Christian life. Expression of religion in a family is supposed to be seen in children's activity if it is important to them. Research in five foster families has shown that children appreciate lovely, playful and joyful expression of faith, which stimulates the feelings of togetherness, gives meaning to everyday life and feast days, and brings to deeper life experience. When faith turns to inner conviction, it forms new needs that are seen as cognition (knowing more about God), self-expression (participation in religious practice) and socio-cultural integration (belonging to Church community). Catholic education in a foster family is more difficult because of the loss that is experienced by foster children. So, Catholic education in a foster family should begin with the renewal of the relationship with the environment, the self and the life. The history of salvation that is in the very center of theology is the history of the renewal of the relationship between God and a human being, man and man, man and his self. That is why Catholic education emphasizes the relationship with God more than moral education. Catholic education in its fundaments is optimistic. It acknowledges that all children are able of spiritual development. I he person of God is only a foundation of security that children having experienced the loss find for themselves. Gods existence protects from the fear of a new failure. The research had shown that children, who believe in God, can be saved from fatal changes. It gives an opportunity to be rescued from fear and becomes a great presumption for the experience of joyful childhood. [From the publication]
