ENThe paper discusses a part of Lithuanian historical green plantations (there are about 1000 of them in all) that is the heritage of Lithuanian Semigallian’s parks (the complicated establishment of the borders of this region is analyzed from the historical and geographical viewpoints). A park is considered to be not less than 1 ha area with not fewer than 100 structural trees. We find on the basis of such criteria about 100 green plantations in the mentioned region (the number can fluctuate considering the chosen borders of Lithuanian Semigallia region). The most famous among those green plantations are those of Žagarė manor (Nr. 10 in Lithuania in accordance with the complex estimation), Joniškėlis manor (Nr. 12), Pakruojis manor (Nr. 16), Atravas manor (Nr. 22), Biržai castle (Nr. 45), Pasvalys town (Nr. 72), Gruzdžiai manor (Nr. 95), Likėnai spa (Nr. 101), Skaistgiris park (Nr. 103). The specific problems of this region are the systems of green plantations that should be reconstructed: the Roppai kinsfolk manor complex with its subsidiaries in Pakruojis and the Radvilos Duchy castle complex with several manors and subsidiaries. Such plans demand thorough sources research, comparative and generalizing work for historical and landscape structure analysis. The addendum shortly characterizes the state and valuability of 58 Lithuanian Semigallia parks visited during the expeditions. The variety of this region parks is convincing: care is taken not only of old parks (at manors, monasteries, convents, cloisters) heritage, but new green plantations are planted. Interesting memorial parks are established not only in Biržai, Pakruojis, Pasvalys, but also in Linkuva, Krinčinas, Žvirbloniai and elsewhere. [From the publication]
