ENIn Lithuania, most family businesses are farms of rural tourism, artisan workshops, small enterprises dealing with culinary heritage - the production of regional and organic products, brewers and family breweries, stud farms. The main advantages of such businesses are morale in the workplace, motivation of the employees, traditions, a different attitude towards the customer and high quality of tourism services. However, the main disadvantages are lack of competence, family conflicts, shortage of money for innovation and difficulties in making decisions concerning the development of the company. There are still many unused opportunities for family entrepreneurship in agritourism and ecotourism as well as in the lodging sector (e.g. hotels, motels and guest houses). [From the publication]
