Petro Skargos "Septyni stulpai" (1582): genezė ir retorinis aspektas

LTStraipsnyje aptariamos Petro Skargos traktato „Septyni stulpai“ (1582) atsiradimo aplinkybės ir analizuojamos šio kūrinio, iki šiol nesusilaukusio įdėmesnių tyrinėjimų, retoriės ypatybės. Šis traktatas yra tam tikra suvestinė, apibendrinanti devynerius metus trukusią jėzuito autoriaus teologinę polemiką su iškiliu kalvinistų teologu Andriejumi Volanu dėl Viešpaties Vakarienės Sakramento (Dievo Kūno buvimo ar nebuvimo tame Sakramente klausimu), taip pat dėl apeigų katalikų ir evangelikų reformatų Bažnyčiose. „Septynių stulpų“ retorinė analizė parodo didelę meninę šio kūrinio vertę, ypač elocutio ir dispositio atžvilgiu. Retorines priemones Skarga rinkosi taikydamasis prie eilinio skaitytojo suvokimo lygio, todėl pasitelkė išjuokiamojo realizmo metodą, su simbolistine Volano koncepcija kovojo kurdamas konkrečius meninius vaizdus. Kūrinio kompozicijai jis panaudojo retorinės amplifikacijos techniką, svariausius argumentus paradoksaliai sutelkdamas į kūrinio pabaigoje iškelto neesminio klausimo (ar tikintieji gali priimti sakramentą individualiai, ar negali) svarstymą. ENThe paper focuses on the circumstances of the appearance of Piotr Skarga’s treatise "Siedm Filarów" (Seven Pillars, 1582) and on the analysis of rhetoric characteristics of the work, which has not attracted more detailed research yet. The treatise is a compilation and a generalization of a nine-year-long theological polemic between the Jesuit author and the prominent Calvinist theologian Andreas Volanus about the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper (the issue of the presence or absence of the Christ’s body in the Sacrament) and about the rites of the Roman Catholic and the Reformed Evangelical churches. The rhetoric analysis of "Siedm Filarów" points to a work of high artistic value, especially from the point of view of elocutio and dispositio. Skarga’s choice of rhetoric means was aimed at the level of perception of the ordinary reader; he resorted to the method of derisive realism and fought Volanus’ symbolic concept by creating actual artistic images. The composition of the work is based on the technique of rhetorical amplification: the key arguments of the treatise are concentrated in a consideration of an incidental question (whether the believers can or cannot receive the sacrament individually), which is raised at the end of the work.
