ENIn the conclusions of his report “The Tendencies of the Development of the Ethnic Confessions in the Post-Communist Central and Eastern Europe” Jonas Trinkūnas notes that in Central and Eastern Europe in the last two hundred years there were essential ethnic and religious changes in the consciousness of the people, leading to an increase in secularization. The rudiments of national religious movements and the absence of paganism are typical for the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. In Eastern Europe, especially in the Baltic States, non-pagan movements have a clear ethnic character.
