ENThe introduction report “National Minorities and the Citizen Society” was drafted by dr. Remigijus Motuzas, the General Manager of the Department of National Minorities and Lithuanians Living Abroad to the Government of the Republic of Lithuania. It described the overall situation of the national minorities in Lithuania and their development during the past 10 years. In his speech, a lot of attention was given to the state’s national minorities policy. The basic foundation of this policy is the establishment of a stable integration of national minorities into the society, while at the same time striving for the best conditions for the preservation of their identity.
