LTStraipsnyje sistemingai išnagrinėta pirminio vidurinio profesinio rengimo reforma Lietuvoje 1990 – 2003 metų laikotarpiu, ištirti jos pagrindiniai principai, procesai ir problemos. Profesinio rengimo reforma tirta trimis lygiais: nacionaliniu, mokyklos ir klasės, tačiau dėl straipsnio apimties ribotumo jame pateikti nacionalinio ir mokyklos lygmens tyrimo rezultatai. Tyrimo metu nustatyti profesinio rengimo sistemų pokyčiai ir jų priežastys, pateikti apibendrinimai. Straipsnio išvados ir profesinio rengimo reformos tyrimo rezultatai gali būti taikytini kaip pagrindas įvertinti pasirinktas reformos strategijas ir pagrįsti naujus politinius sprendimus. Remiantis tyrimo rezultatais, numatytos tolesnės profesinio rengimo reformos Lietuvoje plėtros kryptys. ENThe article takes a systemic approach to researching the reform of primary, secondary education, professional training reform in Lithuania during the 1990 – 2003 period; the author examines the main principles of the reform, its processes, and problems. The problem of professional training reform was researched on three levels: national, school, and classroom, however, due to space constraints, the article focuses on national- and school-level findings of the research. In the process of the research, the author identifies changes of professional training system and reasons underpinning them, (s)he provides generalized statements. The conclusion of the article and the results of researching professional training reform can only be applied as a basis for evaluating selected reform strategies and justify new political decisions. On the basis of the research results, further directions for developing professional training reform in Lithuania were mapped out.
