LTPlanuodami karjerą jauni žmonės neskiria reikiamo dėmesio savo vertybėms ir nesieja jų su profesijos pasirinkimu. Jaunuolių negebėjimas atpažinti savo vertybių lemia klaidingą profesijos pasirinkimą. Vertybių ir profesijos pasirinkimo sąveikai atskleisti ir analizuoti keliami probleminiai klausimai: kokios yra jaunuolių vertybės? Ar jie profesijos pasirinkimą sieja su savo vertybėmis? Tiriant probleminius klausimus buvo naudojamasi šiais tyrimo metodais: mokslinės literatūros analize, modeliavimu, pusiau struktūruotu interviu (empirinis tyrimas buvo vykdomas 2013 m. spalio mėn.). Interpretuojamosios fenomenologijos metodu išanalizavus kokybinio tyrimo duomenis galima teigti, kad jaunuoliai profesiją renkasi remdamiesi vertybėmis, atitinkančiomis išorinius veiksnius, apibrėžtus Jovaišos (1999) profesijos pasirinkimą sąlygojančių veiksnių klasifikacijoje, ir didelę reikšmę jų pasirinkimui turi socialinė aplinka. Šiame straipsnyje analizuojama vertybių ir profesijos pasirinkimo sąveika, nes pagrindinis profesijos pasirinkimo tikslas – atsižvelgiant į savo vertybes siekti jų (vertybių ir profesijos) darnos. ENYoung adults planning their career do not pay sufficient attention to their own personal values and are not relating them with the choice of profession. The incapability to recognise their own values leads to the wrong choice of profession. Personal values play a significant role in the choice of profession, but young people do not emphasize it. In this work the interaction of personal values and career choice is being analysed, because the main goal of choosing the right profession is to seek for the harmony between personal values and profession. The aim of this research was to create the model of the interaction of personal values and choice of profession The problem-related questions for discovering and analysing the interaction of own values and choice of profession are: what are the interactions of personal values and choice of profession in the theoretical context? What are the personal values of young adults? Do young adults relate their choice of profession with their own values? Through qualitative research and using interpretive phenomenology method for the analysis of the research data 4 dimensions have been discovered – conception of personal values and dominant values; tendencies of interactions of inner and outer factors in the choice of profession; vocation for the profession as the purposefulness for the profession; influence of inner and outer factors for the choice of profession. The following conclusions emerged while analysing the discovered dimensions: analysis of methodological conceptions of the choice of profession leads to the possibility to define the main inner factors and outer factors, which are influencing the choice of profession of young adults. Personal values have an importance, which is a professional purposefulness in making a choice of profession, that helps to define the professional and life goals. Personal values are the most meaningful ground for choosing, that condition the choice of profession.In the created model of the interaction of young adult’s personal values and their choice of profession, two elements have been distinguished: systems (types) of values and the factors influencing the choice of profession. These elements significantly condition the interaction, which leads to the main goal – the revealed vocation for profession and meaningful activity.
