ENThe article deals with the names of Jewish females in the documents of the Granad Duchy of Lithuania in the 17th century. The most popular Jewish female names are Debora, Estera, Anna and Marjam. As a rule, the names are recorded in the diminutive form (60%). The canonical form of naming is represented by 40%. The most frequent way of naming females is the mixed type (72,9 %). The percentage using only family onomastics is only 18,8%, while naming without using family onomastics is even lower – 8,25%. 75% of women are given names. It has been determined that there is a connection between the name and its length: the longer the listing, the greater is the chance that there will be a name involved. 71,4% of women have the name and the surname of their husband mentioned in their listing. Female patronymics are found in 47,4% of names. The name of the husband’s father is found in 40% of the analyzed samples. 3,5% of women are recorded giving their nicknames. [From the publication]
