ENThe Lithuanian dialect of Punskas (Puńsk) on Polish-Lithuanian borderland in north-eastern Poland is strongly interferenced by Polish on the all language levels. In this article we show the results of such influence on morphology and syntax. The modern oral and written texts of Lithuanian people from Punskas and its surroundings are the material base of this article. We have noted down a lot of examples (the change of gramatical gender, singular and plural of foreign origin nouns, some morphological curiosities, often used syntactical constructions: kad with infinitive in aim function and compound sentences like: jeigu einasi..., tai // kas liečia) which show a big influence of Polish language. It turns out that in lasting separate forms colloquial Lithuanian plays an important role (Lithuanian used in Lithuania, especially in big cities, we mean street language), which is strongly interferenced by Russian which has in its owns system similar constructions like Polish.
