Vilniaus kokliai XV-XVII amžiuje

LTImantis rengti XV-XVII a. Vilniaus koklių katalogą, siekta nagrinėti koklių gamybos ir koklinių krosnių statybos tradicijos atsiradimo Vilniuje ir Lietuvoje istorines aplinkybes, jos raidos bruožus, nurodant sąsajas su vėlesniais istoriniais įvykiais, ir tolesnio plitimo visoje Lietuvos Didžiojoje Kunigaikštystėje ir už jos ribų tempus bei kryptis; pateikti išsamų šio laikotarpio koklių rinkinį, pagrindiniais vertinimo kriterijais renkantis dekoro įvairovę ir gamybos technologiją. Knygoje pateikiami visų žinomų XV-XVII a. Vilniaus koklių su savitu ornamentu arba darytų pagal specifinę gamybos technologiją pavyzdžiai. Jie skelbiami ir analizuojami kaip itin gausi ir informatyvi archeologinių radinių ir taikomosios dailės kūrinių grupė. ENThe aim of compiling the present catalogue of Vilnius tiles dating from the 15th to 17th centuries is to analyse the historical circumstances in which the tradition of tile production and the building of tiled stoves appeared in Vilnius and Lithuania, as well as the features of its development, to relate it to later historical events, to explore the rate and directions of its further spread in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and beyond, and to present a comprehensive collection of tiles from this period, the main assessment criteria being the variety of decor and production technology. [...] The present catalogue includes examples of all known Vilnius tiles dating from the 15th to the 17th centuries with an original ornament or produced using a specific technology. They are published and analysed as a particularly abundant and informative group of archaeological finds and works of applied art. When compiling the catalogue, all tiles held in Vilnius museums were examined and systemised by dividing them into types and groups according to chronology, production technology, location on the stove and decor. The author followed the approach that this group of sources, which so far has been analysed only episodically, selectively and by specialised scholars, is in fact a continuous informational complex reflecting both the close cultural links of Vilnius and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania with other Western and Central European countries and their influence on Eastern European culture, and a whole of easily recognisable, classified and dated artefacts that should be analysed from the perspectives of archaeology, history, art criticism, history of architecture, ceramic technology etc. [...].
