Raganavimo tyrimų problemos istorijos moksle
LTStraipsnio objektas – raganavimo tyrimai Lietuvoje, atsižvelgiant į Vakarų Europą, jų padėtis. Tikslas – pasvarstyti, kokius metodus būtų parankiausia pasitelkti tyrinėjant šį sudėtingą bei daugiabriaunį reiškinį, jo tyrimų problemas, su kuriomis susiduria istorikai. Pačiame straipsnyje pasitelkiamas aprašomasis kritinis metodas. Pagrindinė išvada – raganavimas ir raganų bylos nėra vien istorijos reiškinys, bet ir tradicinio pasaulėvaizdžio elementas, tad jį tiriant negana remtis vien istoriniais dokumentais, o būtina pasitelkti ir tautosakos bei etnografijos medžiagą. ENThe goal of the article “Problems in Research of Witchcraft in the Study of History” is to consider and evaluate some of the methodological problems encountered in researching the phenomenon of witchcraft. This article seeks to draw attention to this problem, which in Lithuania has been somewhat forgotten. The available studies are outdated and the methods used are not suitable in analysing similar studies that are carried out in Western Europe and the United States. This paper discusses the methodological problems — chronological certainty, features of the study of mentality. It is emphasized that witchcraft must be considered in the broader context of cultural-religious systems. One of the main aims of the article is emphasize that research on the historical phenomenon of witchcraft must use not only traditional historical sources, but also oral tradition, ethnographic material. Since only by using both types of sources, by comparing constantly and critically analysing them is objective, universal and relevant research possible, which will help resurrect this topic in Lithuania.
