ENThe article presents observations on the regional press influence on readers as a means of common cultures rise and Russian speech culture as well. The study is based on the material from one of the most popular weekly Lithuanian press in Russian “Express-nedelia” of 2013. The aim of the paper is to describe the headlines in this magazine. The future of our society, its cultural level depends on the journalists’ manner of a dialogue with readers. Features of mass-medias are the correctness of speech, so it finds reflection in the headlines. The article deals with the analysis of the forms, functions and expression of evaluation in the magazines’ headlines in Russian. The analysis of the examples showed the balance of the headlines form and genre of the article in some cases. [From the publication]
