ENThe activity of Lithuanian commercial banks and the credit market are quite significant in our economy. Our society does not have any problems to perceive the principles of banks activities and the services given by banks become the part of everyday life. Therefore, only perfectly mastering of the criteria of profitableness, liquidation, risk evaluating principles and other criteria applicable to credit market enables to attract the needed investments for the economy renovation. Otherwise, taking into account that the banks of our country promptly increase the volume of loans, giving the larger priorities for the financing of long-term business projects, the proper controlling of credit risk and evaluation of loans quality become much more urgent In the article the slate of Lithuanian credit market is analysed in detail. The performed analysis of the influence of Lithuanian macro-economic environment on the indicators of credit market, exposes the mostly influential factors and examines the problems of credit risks controlling in Lithuanian banks. The results of this research show that the real level of economic growth has quite an enormous influence on the changes of deposits and long - term loans in Lithuanian commercial banks. Strong connection has been defined between deposits and direct foreign investments and, also between long - term loans and deposits. Evaluation of the strategic aspects of banks activities defines that the largest loss of banks is related with sudden increase of credit risk. [From the publication]
