Memellandbuch : fünf Jahrzehnte Nachkriegsgeschichte

LTMonografijoje nagrinėjama buvusio Klaipėdos krašto gyventojų politinių, tautinių tapatybių raida 1944-2000 m., gyventojų tautinės sudėties kaita tarpukariu ir po antrojo pasaulinio karo. Tyrimas sutelktas į vokiečių, lietuvių ir klaipėdiečių (statistikose fiksuojami 1925 -1939) tautinių grupių palikuonis, likusius po antrojo pasaulinio karo Lietuvos teritorijoje, tačiau iš dalies ir į pasinaudojusių repatriacija 1958 m. Tautinių orientacijų pokyčiai siejami su Klaipėdos krašto politinės priklausomybės kaita, nagrinėjami plačiame politinių pokyčių kontekste. Remiamasi autorės ir jos organizuotų Klaipėdos universiteto studentų 1990-2000 m. surinktais 34 interviu, kurių 5 skelbiami prieduose. Apibendrintos informacijos pagrindu autorė užčiuopia žmonių istorinės atminties, politinių, tautinių orientacijų pokyčius, emocinius saitus su buvusia ar esama gimtine, tų orientacijų įvairovę: nuo lojalumo Vokietijos valstybei, ilgesio buvusiems tarpukariu tautiniams santykiams iki tapatinimosi su atskira klaipėdiečių kultūrine grupe, tačiau išryškinama pagrindinė dabartinių klaipėdiečių, kilusių iš buvusio Klaipėdos krašto, tendencija – tapatintis su lietuvių tauta ir reikšti lojalumą Lietuvos Respublikai. ENThe monograph analyses the development of political and national identities of the residents of Klaipėda Region in 1944-2000, the change of ethnic composition of the residents in the interwar period and after World War II. The research is focused on the descendants of German, Lithuanian and Klaipėda region (registered in statistics of 1925-1939) ethnic groups, who remained in the territory of Lithuania after World War II as well as on those who repatriated in 1958. The changes of national orientation related to the changes of political dependence of Klaipėda Region are analysed in a broad context of political changes. The analysis is based on the 34 interviews collected in 1990-2000 by the author and Klaipėda University students organised by the author; 5 of these interviews are published in the appendices. Based on the generalized information, the author grasps the changes of historical memory, political and national orientation, emotional ties with the former or current homeland, and the variety of orientation: from loyalty to the state of Germany, longing for ethnic relations of the interwar period to identification with a separate cultural group of Klaipėda residents; however, the main tendency of current residents of Klaipėda originating from the former Klaipėda Region to identify with the Lithuanian nation and expressing loyalty to the Republic of Lithuania is highlighted. The author names this tendency the farewell to Klaipėda Region without specifying who is bidding farewell to what.
