ENThe book presents the conception of a new social philosophy that is developing in our time, discusses the content of its major concepts and objectives, methods and functions of this philosophy, highlights particularity and reveals the possibilities for application of general principles of social philosophy in special social sciences. The problems of social philosophy are being analysed at the level of contemporary contemplation paradigm. A heuristic role of philosophical principles is shown while trying to perceive the situation of a human in the contemporary world, his attitude towards himself, relations with other people and the environment and trying to clarify various personality destructions. In the first chapter of the book, a definition of contemporary social philosophy is presented, together with the aims, functions and objectives of the philosophy. The second chapter analyses fundamental assumptions of contemporary social philosophy. The third chapter deals with the origins of contemporary social cognition. In the fourth chapter, the network of fundamental concepts of social philosophy is presented; the fifth chapter analyses the problem of the method of contemporary social cognition. The sixth chapter presents the revival of critical thinking in contemporary social philosophy. Hereafter it is proceeded to the discussion about the abilities of social action philosophy and contemporary social philosophy to explain and perceive the open society. Social philosophy and culture find place in the center of the ninth chapter, whereas the last two chapters analyse the philosophical problem of personality collapse, globalisation and the problems of civic society in the context of globalisation.
