Nuo Indianos Džons iki Laros Kroft arba kintantis archeologijos vaidmuo dabarties pasaulyje

LTStraipsnyje nagrinėjami klausimai: 1) koks yra archeologinių liekanų panaudos tikslas ir priemonės? 2) ar jos visuomet lieka palankios kultūros paveldo vertybių apsaugai? 3) kaip atrodo Lietuvos archeologijos nueitas kelias lyginant užsienio šalių patirtimi? 4) kokia jos dabartinė padėtis akademinėje ir socialinėje terpėje? Vakarų Europos šalių archeologija patyrė tam tikrą krizę XX a. 7 dešimtmetyje, kuomet buvo pradėta kvestionuoti vyravusi archeologų nuostata orientuota į duomenų kaupimą ir aprašinėjimą. Pradėta suvokti, kad be gilesnės ir platesnės analizės bei interpretacijos archeologinė medžiaga lieka menkai informatyvi ir euristiškai vertinga. Suprasta, kas sukauptiems duomenims paaiškinti būtinas tamprus bendradarbiavimas su kitais mokslais. Per pastaruosius 30 metų archeologijos disciplina Vakaruose ir kitur susidūrė su naujais iššūkiais, kurie susiję su išaugusiu „gelbėjimo“ archeologijos poreikiu tebevykstant radikaliai urbanistinio kraštovaizdžio transformacijai. Tapo aktualus ekonominis matmuo, kuris yra susijęs su kultūrinių produktų ir paslaugų kūrimu ir jų pateikimu paveldo rinkai. Todėl per kelis pastaruosius dešimtmečius susiformavo tikra archeologijos pramonė. Praeities aktualizacija ir komercializacija turi nemenką įtaką archeologijos praktikos ir pačių archeologų savivokos pokyčiams užsienyje. ENThe questions that are dealt with in the article: 1) what is the aim and the tools of archaeological residue loan for use? 2) does it always remain favourable for the protection of cultural heritage values? 3) how does the journey of Lithuanian archaeology seems to look like in comparison with the experience of foreign counties? 4) what is its current status in the academic and social medium? The archaeology of Western Europe survived a certain crisis in the 7th decade of 20th century, when the archaeologists’ outlook on the data accumulation and depiction was questioned. It was realised that the archaeological material is less informative and heuristically valuable without a deeper and wider analysis and interpretation. It was understood that in order to explain the collected data the close cooperation with other sciences was necessary. In the last 30 years the discipline of archaeology in the West and other places faced new challenges, which are related with an increased need of the archaeological “rescue” while facing the transformation of radical urban landscape. The economic dimension, related with cultural products and service creation and its presentation to heritage market, became relevant. Due to this, the real archaeological industry formed in the last decades. The actualisation and commercialisation of the past has a considerable impact in archaeological practice and the archaeologists’ self-concept of the change in the foreign counties. Despite the worldwide changes, Lithuanian archaeologists are still dealing with the same things as in the Soviet times. They are not taking into consideration the theories and are satisfied with only the data accumulation and often do not exceed the first level of conclusions.
