ENLife long learning is the reality of nowadays life, and this process is the obligatory factor, which helps to create our personal and public welfare. The authors of this article discuss about the changing role of a college as a higher school. The authors treat a college as an institution, which enables specialists to cope with the challenges, which they face in life long learning culture. The article consists of three parts. The authors discuss the reality of post-modern society and the main learning problems, which specialists face nowadays. The learning is treated as a measure, which helps to cope with the educational barriers, and that pint of view if reflected in the second part of the article. The authors present the main research results in the third part, discussing about the educational needs of the specialists, which attend various trainings in Kaunas College Kėdainiai Jonušas Radvila Faculty.
